int womens dayThis week’s blog follows on from last week’s, in which I asked what sort of legacy you would like to leave.  How would you like to be remembered?

Whilst it is true that the important point in life is who you are being rather than what you are doing, once you have decided who you want to be, there is a good chance that you will want to do something about it.

I don’t believe that it is any coincidence that, as we humans are discovering the spiritual awareness of oneness with all of life, we are being provided with an increasing number of tools to act in accordance with that awareness: the internet, facebook and other social media sites, Youtube, Skype, online petition sites, and blogs like this one.  It is becoming easier to stay connected with the rest of the world, and so much easier to make a difference in the world, without leaving your house, without even leaving your chair.

We can stay informed with email updates from international charities and donate online to any cause we choose to aid.  Spreading the news around the world, which once took days or weeks, can now be done in minutes through social media pages.  Shining your light out into the world can be done every day of the week.  You can make a real difference in someone’s life now, today, this minute.

Write a blog, start a petition, donate to a charity, all from the comfort of your own home.  If, however, you are the sort of person who likes real face to face contact, there are many places looking for volunteers.  Your particular skills could be just what they are seeking.

Remember that we are advised to give away that which we feel we lack.  If you feel you lack money give it away.  If you feel you lack time, give that.

Luke 6:38 tells us: “give, and it will be given to you…..For the measure you give will be the measure you get back.”

One of the causes which I feel strongly about is women’s rights, so I know that it was no coincidence when I came online to write this blog, that Google told me that today is International Women’s Day.

As I give my time to write this blog, I encourage all of my readers to consider giving of your gifts to help those women less fortunate than yourself.  Please take the time to consider the women who have made a difference in your life and how you may repay those women by helping those women who could use your assistance.

I believe that, in order to bring about the world of peace which most of us desire, the world requires a greater balance of feminine and masculine energies.  Our world has been dominated for such a long time by the masculine, it will require all of our efforts to ensure the balance is restored.

What better day to make a difference to the women of the world, than International Women’s Day!
